I have never acted, can I still be an extra?

Anyone can be background(extra). Why? Because when you work as an extra you are in the background acting like a normal person would in the given situation.  You may be asked to sit, walk, stand, etc somewhere and act just as you would naturally in the situation.  If you can follow simple instructions, then you can work as background. You can be any shape, look, height, etc...background needs to be all types and looks.

How can I learn what to expect when working as background?
